Inside one of the most fascinating palaces of the early 20th century, a precious interior restoration has been carried out, celebrating a rich and valuable artistic heritage, with the careful restoration of the original frescoed vault depicting the coat of arms of the owner's family. Every detail of this project has been taken care of to reconcile historicity with modern elegance, rewriting the rooms in a contemporary key and using refined shades for the furnishings that redesign the spaces in an innovative way.

The large bookcase is the key element. It was specially designed to harmonise with the furnishings and to make the rooms both innovative and future-oriented. The shelves are delicately lit by small LEDs, while the light coming in from the windows flows through and enhances the architectural expressiveness of the whole apartment.

The large living room leads to the kitchen-dining area, which is characterised by a double-height space accessed by a wooden staircase. This solution not only creates visual continuity, but also keeps the space fluid and open, and the large glass wall on the upper floor, with its minimalist design, creates a new and functional living space.

Every design choice makes the space feel bigger. This is true for the mosaic flooring, the staircase in the sleeping area that leads to the study in the loft, the storage units and the custom-made furniture.

Architectural and lighting solutions give rise to unexpected suggestions even in the guest bathroom, where the invention of a pyramidal splay in the five-metre roof and the positioning of a large lamp at the top make it possible to recreate the zenithal effect of a natural light fireplace in an indoor environment.
